, a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue based in Summit, NJ is hosting its Second Annual Bark-A-Que on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The family event will take place at The Village Green (Maple & Broad Streets) in Summit from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the rescue’s second-year anniversary in the heart of Summit.
Since its inception in 2010, Home for Good Dog Rescue has adopted more than 1,200 dogs to loving families. The benefit is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees.
Home for Good welcomes all families and leashed canines for a fun-filled day, which includes tricky tray prizes, Super 50/50 raffle, dog adoptions, contests, children’s activities, a microchip clinic, food and entertainment, photos with your pet and more!
Families will receive dog goody bags (valued at $25) with a $5 donation. Attendees can visit the microchip clinic where a veterinarian or veterinary technician will be inserting microchips for $35, which includes the microchip, insertion and enrollment in a recovery service. Families can learn the latest tips on dog manners from certified behavioral trainers.
Pet owners can show off their dog's talent to compete for contest prizes. Home for Good’s adopted canines and their owners are invited to march at the Adopter Dog Parade. The most fashionably-attired dogs will be crowned as "Mr. and Mrs. Bark-a-Que.”
This is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a memorable day while supporting a charitable cause. Donations, sponsors and vendors are welcome and appreciated. All monies raised will directly help Home for Good continue its mission of saving the lives of innocent dogs.
