New Providence residents and local politicians were on hand for the 10th anniversary celebration of Centennial Park on Thursday night.
Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz and U.S. Representative Leonard Lance were on hand with members of the New Providence Borough Council to unveil two new plaques that celebrate the 10th anniversary of the park and remember the friends and neighbors lost in the attack of our country on September 11, 2001.
Local businesses donated refreshments for all to enjoy. Later in the evening, the crowd was treated to music by the Tim Gillis Band.
Volunteer Chefs were Bonnie Vohden, Ken DeRoberts, Bill Hoefling & Gary Kapner who were assisted by Barbara & Doug Marvin. This event was further supported by The Recreation Department, N.P. Police Dept., Public Works, Mayor, Council & other Borough Staff.
