Area residents attended the annual Independence Day celebration on Wednesday Night in New Providence.  The clouds and rain drops finally gave way to a hot steamy summer evening.

The event was sponsored by Investors Bank and the New Providence Business and Professional Association. 

Entertainment was provided by DJ John Souren of Club Souren who provided music from his perch on the NP Fuel “Jets” Truck.   Juggler Will Shaw performed for the kids and used his skills to dazzle the kids of all ages.  Local merchants sponsored free chalk for kids to express there creative drawings on South Street.

Families gathered with their lawn chairs and blankets to watch the fireworks display.
