Obituary: New Providence Native Marie L. Morrison Dies at 67

Marie L. Morrison (Stadler), 67 of New Providence and Lavallette, NJ, died on Friday, Sept. 28 at Care One at Wall in Wall, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was raised in Union and lived in New Providence and Lavallette, NJ.

Marie was a graduate of Union High School, Union, NJ. She received her degree in Nursing from Presbyterian College of Nursing, Newark, NJ and went on to graduate from Farleigh Dickinson in Rutherford, NJ, receiving her B.S.R.N.

She worked as the Charge Nurse in the ER at Union Memorial Hospital, Union, NJ. She worked as Pediatric Nurse for Doctor Carl Herman in New Providence, NJ and then for the Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights, NJ. She was also the lower school nurse at Kent Place School in Summit, NJ.

She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Lavallette, NJ. She was also an active member of the PTA, New Providence, NJ, The New Providence Community Service, the Nursing Association of NJ, and the Lavallette Yacht Club.

She is predeceased by her husband Edmond A. Morrison III.

She is survived by her son, Edmond A. Morrison IV of Warren, NJ, her daughter, Emily L. Nicolaides of Point Pleasant, NJ, and four grandchildren: Willow, Nikita, Zachary, and Madeline.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. for a Memorial Service at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 1801 Grand Central Ave. Lavallette, NJ 08735.
