Brooke, 5, of New Providence died Monday after a battle with a rare brain tumor, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma.
A "short church service" will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 111 South St., New Providence, at 10 a.m. Friday, said Brooke's parents, Steve and Stefani, in an online journal that chronicled Brooke's struggle.
Brooke will be interred at the mausoleum at St. Teresa of Avila Parish, 306 Morris Ave., Summit.
In lieu of a wake, Steve and Stefani Healey welcome "all who follow Brooke's website" to the Grand Summit Hotel, 570 Springfield Ave., Summit, from noon to 4 p.m.
The greater community had rallied around Brooke in recent months.
Family friends, current and former students, coworkers and businesses in Madison helped organize fundraisers and shows of support for Brooke and her family since Brooke's diagnosis in January, including bracelet sales, bowling outings and an event at the Madison Community Pool.
A candlelight vigil was held in New Providence in August, andmotorcyclists were just among the many groups to raise money for her plight.
Steve Healey has said the support was amazing.
"Brooke’s radiant smile left a lasting impression on all that knew her," her parents wrote in the journal.
"Brooke's favorite moments were spent with her best friend, and brother, Ashton, and younger sister Bryn. She was a quite the little chef and chose and prepared her meals very carefully. She also enjoyed many crafts as well as playing with makeup, princess dresses and doing her nails."
In lieu of flowers, the Healey family requests donations made in Brooke's memory to the Brooke Healey Foundation, PO Box 451, New Providence, NJ 07974.
