Man Stopped for Speeding 100 MPH on Mountain Avenue

Berkeley Heights resident charged with driving while intoxicated, failing to observe traffic light and reckless driving, among others.

Corporal Daniel Henn charged Colin Price, 26, of Berkeley Heights with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to breath tests on Sept. 20.

Corporal Henn observed Mr. Price traveling at a speed that he estimated to be 100 miles per hour, traveling westbound on Mountain Avenue at 3:07 a.m.  

While Corporal Henn was watching the speeding vehicle, the vehicle proceeded to travel through red lights at Mountain Avenue and Ryder Way, and Diamond Hill Road and Mountain Avenue.

Patrols were able to conduct a motor vehicle stop with Mr. Price in Berkeley Heights on Roosevelt Avenue. 

Mr. Price was also charged with failing to observe traffic light, reckless driving and failing to produce his registration and insurance cards.
