New Providence Police Blotter: Sept. 9-15

The following arrest information was supplied by the New Providence Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

09-09-2011 — Patrolman Joseph DiParisi arrested David Henricksen, age 56, of New Providence for shoplifting.  The store manager of the business contacted the department to advise that the shoplifting was in progress.  Mr. Henricksen was charged and released pending a court date.

09-11-2011 — Patrols responded to a residence on Ryder Way on a report of a missing intoxicated juvenile male.  After his son did not return home, the father responded to the residence that his son was supposed to be at.  Patrols spoke with numerous juveniles who admitted that there was an underage drinking party at the residence on Ryder Way.  None of the juveniles were able to help in narrowing down the juvenile’s location.  The New Providence Fire Department, Berkeley Heights Police and Fire Departments, and Union County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit all responded to search for the juvenile.  The male was later located by police and checked out by the New Providence EMS.  He was released to his father.

09-11-2011 — Corporal Daniel Henn arrested Monica Morris, age 32, of Linden with driving while intoxicated after her vehicle was stopped for speeding.  She was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated, and refusal to submit to breathe tests.  She was released to an adult pending a court date.

09-13-2011 — Corporal Steven Opalewski charged Esteban Salazar-Morales, age 32, of Springfield with driving while suspended after his vehicle was stopped for numerous motor vehicle violations.

09-15-2011 — Detective Donald Sretenovic charged Lauren Pieper, age 35, of Madison with identity theft and obtaining CDS (prescriptions) by fraud.  The charges stem from Mrs. Pieper calling a pharmacy posing as a doctor’s office and using the identity of another to purchase the prescriptions from a borough business.
