New Providence Resident, 18, Arrested Following Car Crash

Ryan Kennedy charged with refusal to submit to breath test, leaving scene of crash, reckless driving. He was released to suitable adult with a pending court date.

From the New Providence Police Department:

On July 14, Patrolman Bryce Garrison arrested Ryan Kennedy, age 18, of New Providence for resisting arrest by flight, obstruction of the administration of the law, and driving while intoxicated after patrols were dispatched to the 900 block of Central Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash. 

Patrolman Garrison responded and took chase to Mr. Kennedy after he led Patrolman Garrison on a foot pursuit.

Patrolman Garrison affected the arrest of Mr. Kennedy in a backyard of a residence on Heather Court. 

Mr. Kennedy was also charged with refusal to submit to a breath test, leaving the scene of a crash, and reckless driving.
