NY Man Accused of Stealing Nearly $5K in Cold Medicine

Two other people still wanted for CVS theft, police said.

A New York man and two others stole nearly $5,000 worth of items—mostly cold medicine—from the CVS in the Village Shopping Center, New Providence Police said.

James Jacobs, 38, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged July 24 with theft following an investigation into the June 13 incident, police said. Jacobs and two other people stole $4,730.28 worth of merchandise, police said.

Police said additional charges are pending the investigation of the two other people involved.
