Police: Bradley Beach Man Dies After ATV Crash

Second man, a 19-year-old from Neptune, still in hospital.

An 18-year-old Bradley Beach man died Monday after crashing an All-Terrain Vehicle into a tree, police said.

The man, who police did not identify, was driving an ATV on Watson Road between Brighton Avenue and Monmouth Boulevard around 5:39 p.m. when the vehicle left the  road, went airborne and struck a tree, Sgt. Chad Clark said in a release.

A passenger, a 19-year-old Neptune man who police also did not identify, was also injured in the crash. He was in stable condition Monday night, Clark said.

Both men were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, by Wall Township First Aid and MONOC paramedics,  Clark said.

The Bradley Beach man was later pronounced dead at the hospital, Clark said.

The crash is under investigation by the Wall Township Police Department, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team. (S.C.A.R.T.), Clark said.
