Police Confiscate Drugs, Weapons From Two New Providence Homes

Two individuals were arrested and a large quantity of Marijuana, a large amount of cash, and several weapons and other contraband were seized during the execution of the Search Warrants.

The New Providence Police Department, along with officers from Union County Police Department and Union County Sheriff's Canine Unit, executed early morning search warrants on two New Providence homes on Friday.

The search warrants were a result of a lengthy investigation by Patrolman Andrew Diamond and members of the New Providence Police Detective Bureau.

As a result of the search warrants, the New Providence Police Department arrested Drew Esker, age 18, of Salem Road for Possession of Marijuana over 50 grams, Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Hindering Apprehension by Attempting to Destroy Evidence.

At a second location, police arrested Eric Pacio, age 22 of Verona Road. Pacio is charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams, Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Selling Controlled Dangerous Substance to an Undercover Police Officer and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Seized during the execution of the Search Warrants was a large quantity of Marijuana and a large amount of cash along with several weapons and other contraband.
