Police Seek Witnesses to Accident Involving 13-Year-Old Pedestrian

The child was not injured after a car struck him on Springfield Avenue.

A 13-year-old boy was struck by a car at Springfield Avenue and Ridgeview Avenue on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The child was not injured in the incident, which occurred between 1:05 p.m. and 2:55 p.m., according to a press release issued by the New Providence Police Department. 

The boy said the vehicle was traveling west on Springfield Avenue when it struck him, but he was not able to obtain a vehicle description.

Police are seeking witnesses to the accident. Anyone with information may contact police at 908-665-1111.
