Thieves Steal Purse From Unlocked Car, Police Remind Residents to Lock Doors

The department has received reports of several vehicles being entered during the overnight hours of March 25 and March 26.

The following release was received from the Berkeley Heights Police Department.

The Police Department has received reports of several vehicles being entered during the overnight hours of March 25th and March 26th in the areas of Mea Drive, Robbins Avenue, and Bristol Court. 

Vehicles that were entered were unlocked, resulting in a purse being stolen from one of the vehicles, with nothing of value taken from the others. The matters have been referred to the Investigations Division.

The Police Department would like to remind residents to lock their motor vehicles at all times.
