Clothing Bins Limited in New Providence Under Proposed Ordinance

Borough Council approves introduction of measure that would limit the number and location of bins.

A proposed ordinance will limit the number and location of clothing bins in New Providence.

The borough council last week approved the introduction of the ordinance, which calls for limiting the locations to churches, non-profit organizations and the New Providence Rescue Squad parking lot, according to The Alternative Press.

Each organization can have no more than three bins under the proposed ordinance, but exceptions may be granted, the article said.
