Council Rejects Aquatics Club Sewer Use Request

Vote puts new swim facility in limbo.

The Berkeley Heights township council resoundingly shot down a request by the Berkeley Aquatics Club to access township sewer lines for their proposed 51,000 square foot facility slated to be built in Warren.

By a count of 5-1 against, the town council made their feelings known, despite the outpouring of support from many in the Berkeley Heights and Warren communities.

In a Patch Poll conducted online today, 91% of the almost 1,300 votes were in favor of allowing the BAC access to the township sewer lines.
