Local Justice: Decision in Municipal Court

The Shared Municipal Court handled one criminal case arising in New Providence. There were no criminal cases arising in Berkeley Heights.

In State v. Decordiva J. Williams, of Brooklyn, the State charged defendant with theft of Prilosec and Zantac from the A & P.  The defendant pleaded guilty to the theft.  The Court imposed a $200 fine, $33 in court costs, and $125 in surcharges.

The Berkeley Heights and New Providence Shared Municipal Court convenes in the New Providence Municipal Center, located at 360 Elkwood Ave. The next session is October 20, 2011.
