Local Justice: Decision in Municipal Court

The Shared Municipal Court handled one criminal case arising in Berkeley Heights. There were no criminal cases arising in New Providence.

In State v. James T. Zakrzewski, of Freehold, the State charged him with harassment for making harassing telephone calls (in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-4a).  The defendant pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in violation of Township Ordinance 9.08.70(b).  The Court imposed a $250 fine, and $30 in court costs.

The Berkeley Heights and New Providence Shared Municipal Court convenes in the New Providence Municipal Center, located at 360 Elkwood Ave. The next session is September 15, 2011.
