New Providence, Berkeley Heights Council Candidate Forums Set For Oct. 25

League of Women Voters is hosting New Providence Council forum at Library and Berkeley Heights Council forum at GL High. Each candidate forum begins at 7:30 p.m.

The League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence and Summit  is sponsoring two Candidates' Forums.

Candidates for Berkeley Heights Township Council will debate on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Governor Livingston High School Auditorium.  Three Candidates are running for two seats.

Kevin Hall (Republican), Craig Pastore (Republican) and Michael Simon (Democrat) will be answering questions from the floor. Marylea Schmidt of Basking Ridge is the Moderator. The program will be taped and shown on GLTV34/Verizon 47.

On the same date, Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the New Providence Memorial Library, Gary Kapner (Republican), Alan Lesnewich (Republican) and Victor Moschella (Independent) will respond to written questions from the audience in their race for Borough Council. Michelle Bobrow of Maplewood is the Moderator. The program will be taped for viewing on TV 35.

Candidates for Summit Common Council, Al Dill (Republican) for Ward 1 and Richard Madden (Republican) for Ward 2 are running unopposed.  According to League rules, there won't be a Candidates' Forum in Summit.
