YNN: Christie Backs Buffalo Congressional Candidate

Governor records robocall for Republican in close special election.

Gov. Chris Christie has recorded a robocall for the Republican candidate in Tuesday's special election for a Buffalo, NY area congressional seat.

Christie has endorsed Republican Assemblywoman Jane Corwin in her bid to succeed former U.S. Rep. Chris Lee (R-Erie County) in the suburban and rural district. Corwin is locked in a close race against Democratic Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul in the Republican leaning district. Tea Party candidate industrialistJack Davis, who sought the seat as a Democrat three times, trails in third place, according to recent polls. Corwin started the race as the frontrunner with Hochul pulling into first place in recent polls.
