DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Buffy find her Forever Home

Buffy is a 5-month old Chihuahua-Terrier mix.   She was chained to a tree for most of her younger life and was found with a collar embedded in her neck.   Despite what she has been through, she is a loving, happy, and healthy dog.  Buffy weighs 7 pounds and will be a small dog when grown.   She is very loyal and enjoys being lap dog.  Buffy is up to date with vaccinations, spayed, and micro chipped.

Buffy is staying with a local foster family awaiting adoption.  Her foster says, "Buffy is such a good puppy!  She LOVES belly rubs & kisses!  Buffy never leaves my side and always wants to play.  She does very well in her crate and is working on her housebreaking.  Buffy is a love bug!"

3rd Annual Bark A Que and Dog Adoption Event:

This Saturday, September 7th, Home For Good Dog Rescue will host its 3rd Annual Bark-A-Que at the Village Green (Maple Street & Broad Street) in Summit, NJ from 11am to 4pm.

Help Home for Good Dog Rescue celebrate its 3rd anniversary with a day of fun in the park! Over 30 dogs will be available for adoption.

Home for Good welcomes all families and leashed canines for a fun-filled day which includes tricky tray prizes, super 50/50 raffle, dog adoptions, contests, children’s activities, vendors, food and live-entertainment, photos with your pet and more. Families will receive dog goody bags (valued at $25) with a $5 donation.  Attendees can visit the microchip clinic where a veterinary technician will be inserting microchips for $35, which includes the microchip, insertion and enrollment in a recovery service.

Families can learn the latest tips on dog manners from certified behavioral trainers. Pet owners can show off their dog's talent to compete for contest prizes.  Each Home for Good adopted dog gets an “I was rescued by Home for Good Dog Rescue” bandana to show off their HFG pride.  Adopters come back with their adopted dogs to meet the other dogs and to seek out their siblings!  Foster families enjoy coming to the Bark-A-Que to see their former foster pups.  Home for Good’s adopted canines and their owners are invited to march at the Adopter Dog Parade.  The most fashionably-attired dogs will be crowned as “Mr. and Mrs. Bark-a-Que.”
