DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Winston find his Forever Home

Winston is a male Terrier mix of unknown type. He is about 2 years old and weighs 17 pounds. Wilson is a follower and enjoys being a lap dog. He is friendly with other dogs and people. Wilson is good with children. He will occasionally bark at cats. Winston really likes three things -- getting affection, running fast at the park, and taking a ride with his furry face out the window happily blowing in the wind.

Wilson’s foster mom says, "He has a sturdy frame and an adorable old man look about him. He is so lovable. He only has one expression: It can mean I like you, I'm hungry, I want a walk, I'm happy or I'm sad. He is so good, calm and gentle that sometimes you forget he's around”.

For more information on Winston or any of the other dogs available through Home for Good Dog Rescue visit the Home for Good website (www.homeforgooddogs.org), call (908) 598-8212 or email info@hfgdr.org. If you are considering adopting Winston or one of the other Home for Good dogs, please complete an online application.  A pre-approved application is required for all “meet and greets” and adoptions.

About Home for Good Dog Rescue:

Home for Good is a volunteer-based, 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. We are a 100 percent foster based organization with an office in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from deplorable conditions in kill shelters, tending to their physical needs and finding them a new loving home where they can thrive.

At Home for Good, we seek the best treatment for our animals. We provide medical care, training, support and hope. Our dogs are vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. We rescue puppies and dogs that are facing euthanasia. Some require surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs, while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care for respiratory illnesses, skin infections, heartworm treatments, and emergency surgeries. Through our adoption services, these loving animals are given a chance at a happy and fulfilled life.
