Bullying Behavior Examined in Berkeley Heights Schools

District assessed the success of its anti-bullying efforts using a rubric developed by the state education commissioner.

The Berkeley Heights school board discussed the district's performance in reducing harassment, intimidation and bullying at its Thursday meeting, The Alternative Press reported.

The district's anti-bullying coordinator May Ann McAdam and Columbia Middle School teacher Pamela Wilczynski presented the results of Berkeley Heights schools' self-assessment of its program, which employed a rubric developed by the state's education commissioner. Among the information given: The area's six schools scored from 55 to 68 on a test in which the top possible score was 75, the article said.
