Delicious Heights to Host Fundraisers for Local School Organizations

Five percent of total sales to be donated each Monday in until May

To help out education organizations in Berkeley Heights, _ will be hosting fundraisers every Monday through May 7 where a portion of the proceeds benefit a group within the Berkeley Heights School District.

Delicious Heights General Manager Walter Espinosa said the goal is to fund education in the area so groups have more financial resources to accomplish things that help benefit the community.

"We are here to help the community however we can," he said.

Five percent of the total sales from food and drink April 16, 23, 30 and May 7 are going to different educational support organizations within the Berkeley Heights district.

The first group for today's fundraiser is the Berkeley Heights PTO. The Berkeley Heights Education Foundation, Governor Livingston Booster Club and Relay for Life Team Heights for Hopes will be participating in the fundraisers following today's group.

The groups will be able to apply the donations from Delicious Heights to programs they are working on as additional funding, school officials said.

Espinosa said Delicious Heights has participated in many fundraisers in the past, including several Relay for Life benefit dinners, and the restaurant emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community.

Delicious Heights is located at 428 Springfield Ave Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922 and is open until 2 a.m. on Mondays.
