Don't Forget Monday's 'Taste of the Towns'

Governor Livingston High School's PTO is holding a foodie event at L'Affaire on April 29


Calling all Foodies! The Governor Livingston High School PTO is holding its inaugural Taste of the Towns event on Monday, April 29, at L’Affaire in Mountainside beginning at 7 p.m.

This culinary experience will feature some of the best local restaurants and caterers from Berkeley Heights and surrounding areas, each bringing a signature dish, dessert or beverage for you to enjoy.

Try amazing culinary creations from Strega Italian Bistro, Mosaico, GrilleStone, Zappia’s, Negeen Persian Grill, Paolo’s Kitchen, Deena’s Delights, Feast Catering, Outback Steakhouse or Beyond Delicious. Pair that with beers and wines from Trap Rock Brewery and Stew Leonard’s Wines. Finish with desserts and coffees from Bake You Crazy, Yogoccino and Starbucks. A & S Market will be on hand to demonstrate the process of making fresh mozzarella.

The event will also feature a basket raffle auction, a 50/50, music and more.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to revisit some old favorites as well as to discover some great new eateries, all while supporting a valuable organization,” said PTO President Anjali Mehrotra.

Governor Livingston High School serves the communities of Berkeley Heights and Mountainside. Funds raised by the PTO are given directly to the school in the form of grants and donations.

During the 2011-12 school year the PTO provided $36,000 in order to fund a new sound and projection system for the school cafeteria, subsidize Project Graduation, and provide numerous teacher grants.
