Ed Foundation's 'Casino Royale' Set for This Saturday

Community members are invited to play games like Blackjack, Texas Hold'em Poker, Roulette, and Craps at the seventh annual Casino Royale, which will raise funds for the school district.

Although the freak October snowstorm forced the New Providence Education Foundation to postpone the seventh annual , which raises money to benefit the school district, the event is now set for this Saturday, Jan. 28.

Beginning at 7 p.m. at the , tickets for the event are $50 per person in advance. All are welcome to this evening of high-stakes action on real gaming tables with chips exchangeable for ticket boards that can be used to win basket prizes at the end of the evening.  Games include Blackjack, Texas Hold’em Poker, Roulette, and Craps. 

There will be live and silent auctions with such prizes as a 1-week vacation at Smuggler’s Notch in Vermont, a Hampton’s NY weekend getaway, Payton and Eli Manning signed jerseys, Pete Sampras signed racquet, ARod signed Louisville Slugger, a foursome at Hudson National, The Letterman Show, Live with Kelly Show, Broadway shows and more.

In addition, there will be a “Diamonds and Champagne” prize; buy a glass of bubbly and earn a chance to go home with a gorgeous ladies Michele watch donated by . Further, a 50/50 cash raffle and door prizes will all be a part of the festive evening.

Since its inception in 2004, the New Providence Education Foundation has been able to provide more than $374,000 in grants that have gone to every school and every grade covering almost all content areas.  The NPEF contributes its success to all the local businesses, community members, parents, staff and teachers who have unselfishly supported its mission.

Last year, the NPEF sponsored two scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating seniors and will continue these scholarships annually.
