Highlander Band Basket Auction March 8th

The Highlander Marching Band raises funds to support music opportunities for the students including trips, clinics, and to run their annual marching band pageant.

Great prizes at this year's Highlander Auction include an iPad Mini, Xbox 360, and a $500 value Lady Bug Pest Control contract. The Highlander Auction is on Friday, March 8 (snow date March 9) at 6 p.m., at Governor Livingston High School, 175 Watchung Blvd. Admission is $10, which includes a block of tickets, a beverage and dessert.

This annual basket auction is a family-friendly ticket event at which participants bid for items using purchased tickets. In addition to the grand prizes, there are hundreds of other baskets of prizes including, American Girl Doll of the Year with Accessories, Signed & Framed Jets and NY Giants Lithographs, , Kindle Paperwhite, and two cash 50/50s.

The Highlander Marching Band raises funds to support music opportunities for the students including trips, clinics, and to run their annual marching band pageant. In 2014 the band will visit Edinburgh, Scotland. This destination is near the birthplace of Robert Livingston, the grandfather of NJ’s first governor (William Livingston elected in 1776), from which the school gets its name.

This past season was an exciting one for the Highlanders as they placed first at the Atlantic Coast Championships in the Group 1 Open category.
