Seminar to Bring Cyber Bullying Solutions to Berkeley Heights

Sgt. Thomas Rich of AlwaysConnected.org will be at Governor Livingston High School to train parents in how to keep their kids safe and bully-free in cyberspace.


Are you worried about your child's safety in an age of constant contact? Then you'll want to attend a free seminar on how to keep your kids safe from all forms of cyber bullying and online chatting, and how new technology makes it easier for kids to be mean to one another.

Sgt. Thomas Rich of Always Connected.org, who has given almost 500 presentations and spoken to over 100,000 children within the last 5 years, will be discussing those issues with parents at Governor Livingston High School on Tuesday, May 7, at 7:30 pm. May 7.  Recently featured on Good Morning America and The Nancy Grace Show, Sgt. Rich has been traveling the country to make parents and kids aware of what's going on, and how they can protect themselves.

His presentation will cover the very popular topics of texting, sexting, Facebook, twitter, tumblr, Instagram, Oovoo, Skype, bullying and cyberbullying. The workshops cover the topics of texting, sexting, facebook, tumblr, twitter, instagram, omegle, chatroulette, minecraft and formspring.me - the latter a site Sgt. Rich feels is causing major problems with bullying in middle schools.

The seminar will also take an in depth look at Facebook profiles and explain pitfalls and how to protect yourself through privacy settings. Parents with children of all ages are invited to attend.
