The People Garden comes to the Summit Playhouse!

Play will be presented from Dec. 15-18.

The Summit Playhouse Kaleidoscope Theatre for Youth proudly presents The People Garden, a Pixie Dust Players Production, from December 15 - 18, 2011.

The show is directed and choreographed by 17 year old Milburn High School junior, Lindsay Maron, with musical direction by Brandon Ilaw, and stars talented kids from Summit, Short Hills, Livingston, New Providence, Chatham and the surrounding communities. This endearing musical about a kindergarten class learning many of life’s simple yet most important lessons promises to be a wonderful treat for the whole family.

Written by Paul Armento, THE PEOPLE GARDEN ran for 2 years Off-Broadway at the York Theater and toured to elementary and middle schools for over 10 years. Lindsay Maron’s first experience with the show was nearly 7 years ago when she was cast first as Claudine and then as Amanda (her version of Amanda’s song is on the cast recording!).  She has carried the show in her heart over the years and loves that it has such great roles for kids, so she is very excited to be able to direct and share this heartwarming show with the community. The founder of the children’s theater group, Pixie Dust Players, Lindsay loves working with children and sharing her passion of theater, and this show is extra special to her because she gets to act with her “Pixies” as the teacher in The People Garden.   Paul Armento is so excited to have the show revived and is extremely proud of Lindsay and can’t wait to see her interpretation and hear her beautiful voice again now in the role of Sylvia.

With wonderfully catchy songs and entertaining situations that illustrate important lessons about honesty, friendship, and living a balanced life, THE PEOPLE GARDEN is the perfect feel-good holiday family activity – a delightful show that reminds us to be compassionate and kind to each other all year long.

Shows run Thursday, December 15 – Sunday, December 18 and TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!  Please visit www.summitplayhouse.org for more information or to purchase tickets.
