Celebration of Special Athletes

Summit Department of Community Programs, Investors Bank and TryCAN are proud to be participating in a Celebration of Special Athletes on March 27, 2012.  The event takes place from 7 pm - 9 pm at the Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School main gym, 272 Morris Avenue.

At the event, we will celebrate the athleticism of some of our area’s special athletes.  See the NJ Special Olympics Bandits basketball team do battle against Summit City employees and local area “Old-tymers”.  The Bandits have been playing at the Summit Community Center for more than 20 years.  We will also cheer on our wonderful TryCAN special youth, who will also play a basketball game.

We hope that family, friends and everyone from the public will join us to cheer on our special athletes!   We will have entertainment by the Summit Step Team and music from Summit Soundz.  No RSVP is needed.  For more information, contact summitcan@gmail.com or call 908-277-2932.  Special thanks to Investors Bank for their financial support for this event and past events.
