During Union County's Four Centuries in a Weekend Celebrations, Mountainside's Historic Deacon Hetfield House will host demonstrations of Colonial Games & Rag Doll making. On Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 from 10am to 5pm, Girl Scouts will be on hand to demonstrate classic Colonial games such as jacks, cup and ball, pick up sticks, marbles, spinning tops, Jacob's ladder and shut the box. In addition, visitors will be instructed on how to make their own Colonial rag dolls and will go home with their own handmade rag doll! Tours of the circa 1760 Hetfield House will also be available.
