First Share NJ 5K Exceeds $400K Fundraising Goal
NJ Sharing Network Foundation's first 5K run/walk proves to be a huge success.
On Sunday, more than 3,000 people participated in the , raising $428,000 and exceeding the fundraising goal.
All of the proceeds will go toward assisting the process of organ and tissues donations in the Garden State.
NJ Sharing Network is a non-profit, federally-certified, state-approved organ procurement organization responsible for the recovery of organs and tissue for the 4,700 New Jersey residents currently awaiting transplantation, and is part of the national recovery system, which is in place for the more than 110,000 people on waiting lists.
