GL Ice Hockey Team Ties Scotch Plains 3-3 in Exciting Game

Niemela delivers hat trick after position switch.

 

We all love those close games between local rivals.  

In this one, favorite Scotch Plains battled from behind in the third period to tie Governor Livingston 3-3.

Senior GL defenseman Jake Niemela played offense for the evening and excited the fans with a hat trick. Goaltender Jonathan LaBella turned in a stellar performance for GL and the Highlander defense -- led by senior captain Drew Miller -- stymied Scotch Plains all night.

Friday January 27th was the last Friday night home game for Governor Livingston Ice Hockey.  The pipeline kids were on the rink to welcome the GL players.
