New Providence, GL Begin State Football Playoffs on the Road
Fifth-seeded New Providence faces Secaucus on Friday, No. 7 GL plays at Summit Saturday afternoon.
The New Providence and Governor Livingston football teams will open the state tournament on the road.
Fifth-seeded New Providence will face No. 4 Secaucus in the North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 playoffs Friday at 7 p.m. New Providence (6-2) is coming off a tough 15-13 loss to Roselle Park last Friday night.
No 7 GL will play Union County rival Summit, seeded second, in the North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 playoffs Saturday at 1 p.m. GL (4-4) earned a spot in the playoffs by blasting Bernards 35-13 Friday night.
