Ted Niedzielski, the head boys soccer coach at New Providence High School, resigned last week.
Niedzielski gave the Board of Education a letter of resignation at Thursday's meeting, according to a report in TheAlternativePress.com.
A Summit resident, Niedzielski allegedly received traffic tickets for driving an uninsured vehicle with an expired license two days before his resignation, TheAlternativePress.com said. There was no indication from Niedzielski or the BOE if this was the reason for the resignation.
