Undefeated New Providence Rolls Past Pingry

Governor Livingston falls to 1-3 with 35-0 loss to Rahway.

New Providence football remains perfect in 2013 with Saturday's 49-6 victory over Pingry.

Quarterback Jack Harvey threw three touchdowns for the 4-0 Pioneers and added 98 yards on the ground, according to NJ.com. New Providence racked up 440 yards of offense to Pingry's 167.

“That just shows the progression of Jack as a quarterback,” New Providence coach Joe Carollo told NJ.com.

The Pioneers went into halftime up 14-0 and would tack on two more scores in the third before erupting for 21 points in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Governor Livingston Highlanders failed to build on last week's first win of the season, as they were shut out by 4-0 Rahway, 35-0.

The Highlanders fall to 1-3 on the season.

New Providence next hosts Bernards at 7 p.m. Friday while Governor Livingston travels to Hillside at 1 p.m. Saturday.
