VIDEO: Mountainside Youth Baseball Opening Day Proves a Big Hit
Video of the festivities of Saturday April 16th, 2011 Parade, Intro ceremony/opening pitch, and ribbon cutting of the new basketball court!
It may have been a cold day, but hundreds of people came out to the Deerfield school to walk in the annual parade, and cheer on the little leaguers for another great season of youth baseball. Mountainside Youth Baseball President Joe D'Angelo was the emcee for the event, while Mayor Paul Mirabelli gave a speech as well.
Also of note, Lady of Lourdes parish has given some of their property for a new basketball court for the residents of Mountainside to enjoy -- complete with new hoops furnished by the town's recreation department. The video shows highlights from the day's events.
