Warren's Stonecrest Community Church is hosting a Family Fun Night on Aug. 31 that is sure to be a big hit with all the area baseball fans: New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte will be speaking at the event, which also includes food and refreshments, a carnival and inflatable games for teens and children, and a silent auction of autographed sports memorabilia.

“We are delighted at the opportunity to provide an event like this and to bring the community together for a night of fun,” said the Rev. Brent Haggerty, lead pastor of Stonecrest Community Church.

“To have a heavyweight like Andy Pettitte come and share in this with us is a testament to his character and our work here at Stonecrest."

As a special treat, when the event begins at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31 on the church grounds, the first 100 Little League baseball players in full uniform will be given an autographed photograph of Pettitte.

Those attending should bring their own lawn chair for seating, and in the event of rain, the event will be held in the church's main auditorium, with overflow seating available throughout the Stonecrest building.

Admission tickets are free—but should be reserved by going to the event page on the Stonecrest Community Church website.
