New Providence Farmers Market Will Open at New Location

Love local fresh fruits and veggies? The Farmers Market opens June 12 at the Presbyterian Church at New Providence.

The New Providence Farmers Market is moving.

The fresh air marketplace will open for the season at its new location on Wednesday, June 12, at the Presbyterian Church at New Providence parking lot on Springfield Avenue, just west of South Street.

The new location will provide much better visibility for the market because people will be able to see it as they drive down Springfield Avenue, said Michelle Brugger of the New Providence Business Community, which sponsors the market.

“We are very excited about this new location,” said Brugger in a statement. “The Presbyterian Church at New Providence has been so generous and accommodating in offering us the use of its parking lot.  We know that this will make a huge difference in terms of visibility and attendance at the market.”

The market will open for business every Wednesday through Oct. 30 from noon to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
