Beauty Queen Brielle LaCosta Uses Titles to Help Others

New Jersey's Miss Galaxy winner keeps busy advocating for autism and children born with skeletal disorders.

Warren's Brielle LaCosta—just named Miss New Jersey Galaxy 2011—is an active spokeswoman for many causes, and her new title may help her garner a bit more attention to causes such as skeletal dysplasia and autism.

LaCosta is no stranger to pageantry, as she held the title of Miss New Jersey International 2010 and made over 100 appearances throughout her reign advocating for autism rights and awareness.

She was named an outstanding alumnae of Rutgers University, where she received her BA in Psychology and is currently a director of marketing for a nonprofit Autism center.
