L'Oreal Employees Volunteer at Children's Specialized Hospital

This is the fourth year that L'Oréal USA has conducted a nationwide day of service.

On June 21 and 22, employees from L’Oréal USA, based in Clark, Berkeley Heights and Franklin, visited two sites as part of their annual “Employee Volunteer Day of Service.”

On Thursday, 40 employees joined the hospital in Mountainside to wash vehicles, sanitize toys, paint rocking chairs, organize the clothing closets and drawers in patient rooms on the long term care unit and helped beautify the wheelchair accessible playground. On Friday, 25 employees decorated display shadowboxes at PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital – New Brunswick.  They also read to the children in the recreation play room.

“We wish to thank all who came out and worked hard for our kids!” said Beth Anne Myarick, director of community engagement, Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation.  “A special thank you to Morris Lenczicki, vice president of industrial systems at L’Oréal USA and treasurer of the CSH Foundation Board of Trustees for his continued support.”

This is the fourth year that L’Oréal USA has conducted a nationwide day of service. The L’Oréal USA Corporate Operations North America team made a commitment in 2008 that  Children’s Specialized Hospital would be their local charity of choice.  Since then, L’Oréal Operations North America has raised over two million dollars for Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Both organizations are gearing up for the fifth annual Fore the Children golf outing on Tuesday September 11, at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, Bedminster Township, benefiting Children’s Specialized Hospital.  For more information about the outing, please contact Susanne Brown, Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation at 908-301-5468.
