New Providence Business Hosts Suit Drive for Newark Non-Profit

Adams Fine Clothing teams up with Newark-based Integrity House again to assist state residents with low-income backgrounds who cannot afford quality clothing.

As summer approaches, local business owner Joe Savino, of in New Providence, invites residents to donate gently used suits, coats and jackets to Integrity House, a substance abuse treatment center in Newark.

Adams will generously offer a $100 credit toward a new suit and $10 for any dress shirt in exchange for each donation. The suit drive also continues the Shop Local Campaign that promotes supporting local businesses.

This is not the first time that Adams has partnered with Integrity House.

Last spring, more than 200 pieces of gently used men’s business wear was collected at the New Providence location and distributed to residents at each Integrity House location.

These suits provided much more than a new piece of clothing but an opportunity for increased self-esteem and thus a better chance for sustained recovery.

“The response that we received during last year’s suit drive was overwhelming," Savino said. "I found that my customers were more generous knowing that their donations were going to local individuals in need."

Robert Budsock, President and CEO of Integrity House says, “having nice clothing may be taken for granted by many people in New Jersey but a large portion of our clients come from low-income backgrounds and do not have the means to afford quality items.”

Integrity House is the largest substance abuse treatment center funded and licensed by the State of New Jersey. More than 1,500 individuals are affected each year by a multitude of services at their Newark and Secaucus locations.

“We are incredibly appreciative of the kindness that Savino and the community have shown Integrity House in the past and hope to continue to build the relationship through this suit drive,” Budsock said. "Whether you need a new suit or would like to support a wonderful organization, bring your donations to Adams Fine Clothing at 1275 Springfield Ave. in New Providence in March and April."
