'Taking a Swing At Cancer'

The Highlanders hosted a hit-a-thon to raise money for the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center

On May 6 the Governor Livingston Highlander baseball teams took a swing at cancer by holding a "Hit-A-Thon" to raise money for the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.

The Hit-A-Thon was a great success raising $2,000. Head baseball coach Chris Roof commented, "we have great kids on this team and they were excited about the competition but they were even more excited about helping a great cause.  Our community really stepped up and contributed".

The GL baseball team continues it's season Friday at Scotch Plains and Saturday at Snyder Field against Rahway.
