Berkeley Heights Traffic Light Report, Fourth of July This Week

Here's a look at the week ahead in New Providence, Berkeley Heights and Mountainside.

New Providence will host its annual Independence Day Celebration this Wednesday on South Street beginning at 7 p.m. This event will feature plenty of activities for the family and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Check back later this week for more details. Remember to send your 4th of July photos to Caitlin.mahon@patch.com and we’ll post ‘em on Patch.

Mountainside is also hosting a fireworks display this Thursday. Local residents can set up in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes parking lot to see the sparks fly at dusk.

Fourth of July is just days away and some community members will be hosting or attending barbeques, enjoying local fireworks displays or even relaxing at the beach. Regardless of what your plans are, be prepared to celebrate with some of our festive desserts. Log onto New Providence-Berkeley Heights Patch later this week for a few recipes to try. Have a 4th of July recipe you’d like to share with your neighbors? Send it to Caitlin.mahon@patch.com and we’ll post it on New Providence-Berkeley Heights Patch.
