As a public school program serving students with autism or austic-like behavior, the Developmental Learning Center isMore attached to and administered by the Morris-Union Jointure Commission. With students ranging from 9 to 21 years of age, the school provides educational plans that are individualized by local child study teams, parents and staff members. As a part of their instructional services, students also receive speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, adaptive physical education and 1:1 teacher assistant. The center offers breakfast and lunch, and menus are located online. There is also a summer program available. Students are also instructed in art, job sampling, music, swimming and technology. There are two other Developmental Learning Centers, in Union and Warren, which are also administered by the Morris Union Jointure Commission.

Children's Specialized Hospital is the largest pediatric health care rehabilitation system in the United States, housingMore 60 beds in its 125,000-square-foot facility, which is considered both child and family-friendly. It provides rehabilitation for children with special needs, serving those affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction and injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses. This is one of eight sites throughout the state. It offers outpatient care, rehabilitation and long-term care. It is supported by the Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation.
