New Providence's Troutman Advances to Quarters

Keeps state championship hopes alive.

New Providence heavyweight Zach Troutman won his pre-quarterfinal match on Friday at the Atlantic City state wrestling championships. He now advances to Saturday's quarterfinal round. Troutman, who had a preliminary-round bye, defeated Even Chrustic of Newton, 4-2, to advance. Come back to Patch to see how Troutman does on Saturday.

Eichner's Strong Season Comes to End

Falls in preliminaries at Atlantic City.

Governor Livingston 160-pounder Patrick Eichner fell in the preliminary round of the Atlantic City state wrestling championships on Friday. Eichner, who went 32-6 before the tournament, fell to Cherokee's Benjamin Fanjoy, 2-0. Eichner was eliminated from the tournament with the loss.
