A 'Giant' Celebration at MetLife Stadium For Local Children's Hospital

Public invited to Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation's 25th Umbrella Gala on Oct. 16 to benefit new outpatient therapy center. Hospital has location in Mountainside.

Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their annual Umbrella Gala at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Current and former NFL and New York Giants players have been invited to attend the celebration. The proceeds from this year’s Umbrella Gala will benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital’s new outpatient therapy center in Newark—the 10th for Children’s Specialized Hospital, the largest pediatric rehabilitation system of its kind in the nation—scheduled to open in Newark in 2013. The outpatient center will offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, psychology and physician services and allow hundreds of families to receive access to services closer to home.  Michael …

Children’s Specialized Hospital Appoints New Director of Development

Kimberly Armenti, the new Director of Development, has been a skilled fundraising executive for 19 years.

Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation announced that Kimberly Armenti, of Bridgewater, has joined their team as director of development. Armenti comes from Saint Clare’s Health System in Denville, where she served as foundation director and interim chief development officer, and led a $30M capital campaign. Armenti is a skilled fundraising executive with 19 years of experience cultivating strong relationships with donors and board members, developing and achieving mission-driven strategic goals, and directing large-scale funding campaigns.  Philip Salerno III, president and chief development officer of Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation, said he is optimistic about her future contributions to the organization, specifically in …
