Lady Pioneers Climb to Top Rank in Group 1 Girls Soccer
After seven games this season, the Pioneers are off to an undefeated start at 6-0-1, earning them the top spot in Group 1, and placing them within the top five in Union County overall.
Coming off a season in which the New Providence Girls Soccer team won the Group 1 State Championship with nine returning starters the Lady Pioneers have every reason to believe they can repeat as champions. The road will be a bit challenging for them as Coach Scott Murphy tries to find ways to replace the graduation of Gina Caprara's 20 goals on offense and the anchor of the defense in Allie Boyle; both of whom played huge roles for the team's success of a year ago.
