Local Scandinavian Children's Club To Present Santa Lucia Pageant
Pageant is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9 at the Madison Community House. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the show begins at 3 p.m.
The Dalarna-Blaklockan Scandinavian Children’s Club will be celebrating the holiday season at their annual Santa Lucia Christmas Pageant on Sunday, Dec. 9 at the Madison Community House, 25 Cook Ave., at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Santa Lucia Day is a very special day in the hearts of many Scandinavians. On this day, the darkness is brightened by a young maiden of goodness and light who opens the door to the Christmas season. In honor of the Santa Lucia legend, each year, the Dalarna-Blaklockan club celebrates the day by presenting a Christmas pageant and inviting the public and members of the Lodge Linne #429 of the Vasa Order of America to attend.
