Children's Specialized Hospital Gala Raises $390K at MetLife Stadium

Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation, with one location in Mountainside, celebrates Gala’s 25th Anniversary

Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation celebrated the 25th anniversary of its annual Umbrella Gala at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Oct. 16. Supporters helped raise a record setting $390,000 to fund the hospital’s newest outpatient care center in Newark.  Children’s Specialized Hospital is the largest pediatric rehabilitation system of its kind in the nation. The outpatient center in Newark, scheduled to open in 2013, will offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, psychology and physician services and allow hundreds of families to receive access to services closer to home.  The gala committee selected Investors Bank as this year’s honoree and their president and CEO Kevin Cummings graciously accepted this special …

Going To Giants-Cowboys Game Tonight? Take The Train To Avoid Traffic

Editor's Note: The following information was submitted to Patch by NJ TRANSIT. Football fans attending the NFL’s opening game — New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys — today, Sept. 5 can avoid the hassles of traffic, tolls and parking by taking advantage of NJ TRANSIT’s Meadowlands Rail Line service to MetLife Stadium.    The Meadowlands Rail Line connects to the Meadowlands Sports Complex from 11 of 12 NJ TRANSIT rail lines, with service from New York and New Jersey via connections at Hoboken Terminal and Frank R. Lautenberg Station at Secaucus Junction.   Today, rail service to MetLife Stadium will begin at 3:50 p.m. from Hoboken and 4 p.m. from Secaucus.  The final Meadowlands-bound train will depart Hoboken at 9 p.m. and Secaucus at 9:10 …
