Police: Man Refused to Give Identity During Motor Vehicle Stop

Police say they needed to force man out of his car.

Police say that when a Bound Brook man was pulled over, he wouldn't say who he was or get out of his car. According to a Berkeley Heights Police press report, Sgt. William Ives stopped Paul E. Stockwell, 34, and Christopher L. Stockwell, 31, both of Bound Brook on Dec. 4. After noticing that the 1994 GMC truck driven by Paul Stockwell had a registration violation. Stockwell reportedly did not have a license and refused to tell Sgt. Ives his name. Sgt. Ives asked Stockwell to exit the vehicle and he refused to comply. With the help of backup officers, Stockwell was forcibly removed from the truck and arrested.
